It is with great disappointment that I have learned that that not a single child refugee has been brought to Britain under the Dubs amendment this year.

The original figure agree was by any account modest and it is simply taking too long to process these vulnerable young people.

Even at this late stage I urge Minister Brandon Lewis and the Prime Minister to do everything in their power to expedite the arrival of these children and end the smear on Britain’s reputation as a place of welcome and justice for the vulnerable and powerful alike.
