Liberal Judaism’s Abigail Jacobi (pictured, right) has been named as co-chair of Limmud Conference 2017. Working alongside Anna Lawton (pictured, left), Abigail will be responsible for the overall event through the management of the team who make it happen.
Abigail said: “Anna and I are really excited to be collaborating again after co-chairing the families team in 2015. Having both grown up attending Limmud events, our shared vision is strongly influenced by the Limmud values and our passion for the organisation.”
Abigail is a member of East London & Essex Liberal Synagogue, where her father Richard is rabbi, and previously worked at Liberal Judaism’s head office.
She added: “Limmud has made Jewish learning a more immersive experience for me. I’m now excited to build on my past experiences and learn from other Limmud volunteers.”
The 2017 team also includes several other Liberal Jews including; LJ officer Graham Carpenter – programming co-chair, our website editor Yszi Hawkings – co-chair of accommodation and registration, LJY-Netzer leader Robert Simmons – co-chair of resources and Naomi Webber – conference makers and volunteers co-chair.
