A statement from Liberal Judaism’s Rabbi Charley Baginsky on the terrorist attack in Jerusalem, earlier today, that killed four soldiers and injured a dozen others:

We were all saddened by the news of this most recent terror attack. Happening in Jerusalem, a place so familiar to many in our movement, our thoughts are with the families of the bereaved and injured.

This method of striking terror, seen previously in France and Germany, reminds us all of our vulnerabilities once again.

But our minds are firmly set to the paths of peace and that people who seek to bring unprovoked violence into our midst will not be allowed to stop us believing that all people have a right to live their lives without fear.

We pray for peace within Israel and the whole world today, tomorrow and for all time.
