Rabbi Charley Baginsky has been appointed as Liberal Judaism’s first director of strategy and partnerships.
Charley, who is also part-time rabbi at South Bucks Jewish Community and coordinator for the Alliance for Progressive Judaism, took up the role this week.
Charley will be responsible for completing and implementing the Liberal Judaism Strategy Document, as well as creating and building partnerships between our movement and organisations within and outside the Jewish community in Britain and Israel.
She will also act as a spokesperson, when required, to represent Liberal Judaism’s values and ideology.
Liberal Judaism deputy chair Lucian J Hudson – who has responsibility for the movement’s strategy and communications – said: “This is a critical new appointment and Charley Baginsky is a most inspiring choice. A dynamic individual who lives and breathes Liberal Judaism, Charley will support us to plan better to achieve the strategic outcomes we seek.”
Charley added: “I am thrilled to be taking up this new role. Working closely with Liberal Judaism’s senior rabbi, Rabbi Danny Rich, our lay and rabbinic leadership and our partners, I can help to focus our efforts as a team and realise more of our potential as a movement.”
