The Manor House Trust is looking for a dedicated and proactive Caretaker to join our team on a bustling 7-acre site. This is a full-time role where you will play a key part in maintaining a welcoming, safe, and well-organized environment for our tenants, which include a nursery and school.
Key Responsibilities
Site Maintenance: Ensure the site is clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times.
DIY and Repairs: Use your basic DIY skills for minor repairs and improvements.
Gardening & Groundskeeping: Assist with gardening tasks to keep our outdoor spaces beautiful.
Consumables Management: Monitor and replenish supplies as needed across the site.
Event Support: Set up and clear away furniture and equipment for meetings and events.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring:
Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, or similar role.
Excellent Communication Skills: Able to interact effectively with tenants, staff, and visitors.
Reliability & Responsibility: Demonstrated stable work history and a proactive, hands-on approach.
Flexibility: While this position requires a 40-hour work week, we offer some flexibility in start and finish times.
Additional Requirements
Background Check: As part of our commitment to safeguarding, a DBS clearance is required due to our on-site nursery and school.
