This Monday (18 March) at 7pm, Liberal Judaism and the Movement for Reform Judaism will be running a free Media Masterclass for members covering crisis comms and responding to criticism.
This session will cover all aspects of the issues a community may face, including those arising from the current conflict in Israel and Gaza.
This training will be led by Progressive Judaism’s Graham Miller and Simon Rothstein, who deal with media, especially the Jewish and national press, on a daily basis.
Graham (pictured right, above) is a former ITN Newscaster and Senior Correspondent who has more than 40 years experience of covering news, current affairs and sport on British television, radio, newspapers and magazines.
Simon (pictured left) has worked in journalism and PR for more than two decades, including periods at The Sun, Guardian and TalkSPORT.
To book, please click here or email SimonR@progressivejudaism.org.
The workshop will be tailored to meet the needs of the group but is likely to cover the following areas:
- What is a crisis?
- How to manage a crisis
- Preparing a crisis team
- Deciding on a plan of action
- Don’t wait until the crisis happens!
- The situation in Israel
- How to deal with the media
- The importance of internal communication
- Support from the Community Security Trust
This is the final masterclass in the current series. We will be arranging some further sessions after the Pesach/Easter break.
Because of the confidential nature of some discussions in this Media Masterclass, it will not be recorded. If you can not attend, but would like support in this area, please email Graham directly on GrahamM@progressivejudaism.org.
