I am writing today not as Director of Youth, but as a proud parent of two LJY-Netzerniks (pictured above with me and my husband Andrew).

LJY-Netzer has given so many of our children a community where they feel they belong and an open place to explore their Jewish identity. For many, that story could just not have happened elsewhere.

For some that is through the bursary scheme. For some it’s thanks to LJY-Netzer’s unrivalled approach to inclusion at all levels. LJY-Netzer has given all of our children a rich and enjoyable connection with their Jewish identity and ideology. Whether they go to JCoSS or they’re the only Jew in the village, they have found their place with LJY-Netzer.

Today I ask that you share those stories to help us create more by becoming LJ Ambassadors.

On 19/20 June, Liberal Judaism are running a 36 hour fundraising campaign, of which LJ Ambassadors are an integral part. Money raised in this campaign will benefit LJY-Netzer right now, as well as the future movement that our children will soon lead.

Once you’ve signed up (which you can do as a family or even a group of families), LJ will help you craft your story on your individual page that you can share with family, friends and anyone else you can think of, asking them to donate to the campaign. You don’t have to be wealthy or have rich friends to take part, every donation will make a difference.

Please sign up today, and help us build homes for the next generation of Jewish stories!
