The Ark Synagogue welcomed the Mayor and Mayoress of Hillingdon, Roy and Reeta Chamdal, to their Sukkot Morning Service.

The service was also attended by Hillingdon Councillors past and present as well as The Ark’s Senior Rabbis Aaron Goldstein and Lea Mühlstein, Emeritus Rabbi Dr Andrew Goldstein and the shul’s President Spencer Cowan.

The invite came after Aaron had opened a recent Hillingdon Council meeting. He said: “It was wonderful to have the mayor with us so he could see how we celebrate Sukkot, including our crazy lulav and etrog dance. Most of all, it was so special for our community to enjoy being together in the sukkah.”
