Bet Tikvah Synagogue, in conjunction with Woodford Liberal Synagogue, is hosting a unique event next Shabbat.
Taking inspiration from the BBC and British Museum’s ‘History of the World in 100 Objects’, Robin Moss will tell the story of the State of Israel by looking at 18 items that represent multiple Israeli realities from 1948 to the present day.
Robin is the head of the UJIA Centre for Israel Engagement. He works across the Jewish community to help raise the quality and nuance of conversation about Israel amongst British Jews. He is an officer of Liberal Judaism and a former LJY-Netzer movement worker.
After Robin’s interactive presentation, there will a Q&A and a chance to discuss the past, present and future of the Jewish state.
The event will be held at Bet Tikvah Synagogue, Perryman’s Farm Road, Barkingside, IG2 7LX. It starts at 7:30pm and costs £7.50 per person including refreshments.
