Norwich Liberal Jewish Community (NLJC) celebrated its 30th birthday with a multicultural Sukkot service complete with a special birthday cake made by one of its members.
Those in attendance included Liberal Judaism’s senior rabbi, Rabbi Danny Rich, Bishop of Norwich Graham Usher, Sheriff of Norwich Dr Marian Prinsley and consort Peter Prinsley, Cllr Alan Waters and NLJC’s Rabbi Gershon Silins.
Organiser Annie Henriques said: “We invited members of all faiths and none to join us for the service and were delighted to be joined by Muslims, Quakers, members of the Octagon Chapel and the Norwich Hebrew Congregation amongst others.
“It’s very important to us to be inclusive and welcoming… and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our 30th birthday!”
