Jami’s Mental Health Awareness Shabbat will take place on Friday 31 January / Saturday 1 February 2020.
It aims to raise the profile of mental health in the Jewish community and to give a focal point for mental health and wellbeing activities. It provides an opportunity to encourage people of all ages to be more in touch with their own mental health and wellbeing.
The first Mental Health Awareness Shabbat in 2017 saw over 80 synagogues, organisations, student and youth groups from across the whole Jewish community taking part. This rose to more than 120 in 2019. The plan now is to make 2020 even bigger with more Liberal Judaism communities than ever now on board.

In addition, Liberal Judaism has teamed up with Jami to offer a Youth Mental Health First Aid Training course for all those who want to help the young people in their care navigate a world where an increasing number are being affected by mental health problems.
It will take place at the Liberal Judaism Education Hub over two weeks, on Wednesday 30 October and Wednesday 6 November from 6.30pm – 9.30pm. For more details, please click here.
