Peterborough Liberal Jewish Community was well represented at a recent faith leaders’ supper with Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.
Chair Chrissie Hassall and lay leader Graham Berkman (pictured on the left) were invited by the Bishop of Peterborough, the Right Revd Donald Allister, to attend the event at the Bishop’s Palace.
They were among 40 people at the supper, all of who are connected with faith, cohesion and diversity. The main focus of the evening was informal discussions and chats between the representatives, as well as with the Archbishop and Bishop of Peterborough.
The Archbishop gave a short address about how those of different faiths can be friends who acknowledge their differences and show how it is possible to “disagree well”.
