The Liberal Jewish Synagogue was full of energy and joy as the talented musicians and dancers of the Rodyna School took the stage – bringing a wonderful, colourful afternoon of music, movement and emotion to the community.
The performance was more than entertainment. It was a tribute to the strength and resilience of the Ukrainian people, a reminder of the ongoing hardships they face, and a call for solidarity in these troubled times.
The Rodyna School, dedicated to supporting Ukrainian refugee families, orphans, and wounded soldiers, shared their artistry with real passion. Each note played and each dance performed, delivered a powerful message that the human spirit endures, even in the face of adversity.
As the audience took it all in, the melodies of traditional Ukrainian music mixed with modern rhythms, played out a story of hope, survival and unity.
The synagogue’s Harriett Goldenberg said: “At this time with Ukraine in our thoughts, the concert served as both a celebration and a reflection. It was a way to honour culture, uplift spirits, and strengthen connections between communities. The applause was heartfelt, and the impact lasting.”
