We are seeking an experienced accountant to provide a comprehensive accounting service to the Movement for Reform Judaism (MRJ) and Liberal Judaism (LJ), as well as a number of partner organisations. MRJ and LJ are separate organisations, which are currently working towards coming together as one charity. The successful candidate will initially be employed by MRJ, working closely with LJ as a partner organisation ahead of the two organisations becoming one.   

This role will be responsible for providing a comprehensive Management Accounting service, ensuring accuracy and completeness on a timely basis.  Responsible for two members of staff, you will be hands on in supporting the Director of Finance in ensuring best practice is maintained.

The Management Accountant will ensure that ledgers, balance sheet reconciliations are kept up to date and relevant journals are processed.  Working to a time table that is driven by the Board meetings of the relevant organisations you must be able exceptionally well organised and able to prioritise.

To succeed in this position you need to hold a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA or ACCA), or educated to degree level and demonstrate substantial experience.  You will need strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and have the ability to identify process improvements that automate and streamline the work.  Experience within a non-for-profit organisation would be an advantage.
