Rabbi Josh Levy represented Progressive Judaism at the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph.
He joined other UK faith leaders to honour and remember the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women involved in the two World Wars and later conflicts. The event was broadcast on BBC One.
Rabbi Josh – the Co-Lead of Progressive Judaism – said: “It is an extraordinary honour to be able to represent Progressive Judaism at the Cenotaph. We are privileged to be part of the national remembrance of those who fought and died for our freedoms.
“As we enter the year of the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, we also use this opportunity to recommit ourselves to the causes for which previous generations fought: the fight for democracy and against fascism and oppression.”
