Progressive Judaism Co-Leads Rabbi Josh Levy and Rabbi Charley Baginsky took part in the Jerusalem Interfaith March for Human Rights and Peace.

Rabbis Charley and Josh joined hundreds of people of all faiths and backgrounds – including colleagues from the Israel Movement for Reform & Progressive Judaism and the Israel Religious Action Center (pictured above) – for the display of cross-religious solidarity.

The end of the Interfaith March by Jaffa Gate

The march began at Zion Square, took a path around Jerusalem and then ended by Jaffa Gate.

Prominent speakers of Jewish, Muslim, Christian and Druze backgrounds talked of peace, justice and equality – and how these are the values of all faiths.

Rabbis Josh and Charley said: “It is often asked where we can find hope for the future of Israel.

“This march gave us a glimpse: walking with people of different faiths, including Progressive rabbis and friends, in the name of peace and understanding; listening to prayer and song in Hebrew and Arabic in the centre of Jerusalem; hearing from Maoz Inon, who together with his brother Magen in London have done so much to remind us of our humanity and the ideals of so many of those killed on 7/10; and speaking with those who continue to have a vision of Israel as a liberal democracy built in line with Jewish values.”
