The values, ideals and leaders of Progressive Judaism have been praised by the Jewish press.
After a headline in the Jewish News last week proclaiming that ‘Progressive Judaism welcomes everyone’, this week’s Jewish Telegraph hails Rabbi Josh Levy as the ‘Rabbi helping to transform the Jewish world in the UK’.
Rabbi Josh – the CEO of the Movement for Reform Judaism and Co-Lead of Progressive Judaism – was profiled by the paper.
In a wide-ranging interview, he talks about his upbringing in Manchester, work in Reform communities and the project he is leading – alongside Liberal Judaism CEO Rabbi Charley Baginsky – to co-create one united Progressive Judaism for the UK.
Speaking to the paper’s Simon Yaffe, Rabbi Josh says of the unification: “We will be more effective as one movement. Together, we can speak with larger numbers.
“There is something about Progressive Judaism in that it is a place where people can find a home.”
