This Monday (15 January), Liberal Judaism and the Movement for Reform Judaism will be running a free Media Masterclass for members on how to get the most out of Instagram.

Hosted by Simon Rothstein, Graham Miller and Jess Mindel of the Progressive Judaism comms team, it will provide communities and individuals with everything they need to help promote their congregation, events, people, achievements and values on one of the world’s most popular social media platforms.

This live interactive training will take place via Zoom and cover the following:

• Why Instagram and social media are so important
• How to create compelling and engaging posts and visuals
• An overview of Instagram Stories and Reels
• Making the most of Instagram’s many other features
• Practical examples of what works and what doesn’t
• Using Instagram to recruit and inspire volunteers
• Copyright and crowdsourcing imagery
• Profile designs and grid templates
• How to schedule posts in advance / post from a computer
• A chance to share your own experiences and learn from others
