Progressive Judaism is proud to be part of the #Together4Humanity vigil this Sunday (3 December) at 3pm opposite Downing Street. Please save the date, spread the word and join us there.
Rabbi Rebecca Birk will light a lantern of peace and mourning at the event on behalf of our Progressive movements, standing alongside Muslim, Christian and other Jewish leaders in a display of togetherness.
The aim of the vigil is to unite against antisemitism and anti-Muslim hate, mourn all innocent lives lost in the conflict in Israel and Gaza and share a message of our combined humanity.
It follows an initial and highly moving vigil earlier this month in which Progressive Judaism leads Rabbi Josh Levy and Rabbi Charley Baginsky played a major role and many hundreds of our members attended. You can read about it here.
#Together4Humanity seeks to bring communities together and show that whatever our disagreements over Israel and Palestine we can join together to stand against rising hatred and enable people to collectively grieve for those we have lost.
Everyone, from every background, is welcome and encouraged to attend Sunday’s vigil. We ask for no flags, no placards… just people.
