TONIGHT: Former Israeli Ambassador in conversation

2 February 2023 – 11 Shevat 5783

In conversation with Daniel Taub

Liberal Judaism and The Liberal Jewish Synagogue will host a special event on Thursday 2 February, at 7pm, with former Israeli Ambassador Daniel Taub.

He will be in conversation with Liberal Judaism CEO Rabbi Charley Baginsky – answering questions about this most difficult moment for Diaspora and Progressive Jewish relations with Israel.

The event is open to everyone either in person at The Liberal Jewish Synagogue or online via Zoom.

To attend in person, please register here. Tea, coffee and other refreshments will be provided.

To take part via Zoom, please email Tom on t.rich@liberaljudaism.org.

Daniel Taub is an Israeli diplomat and international lawyer. He served as the Israeli Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 2011- 2015 and Director of Strategy and Planning of the Yad Hanadiv (Rothschild) foundation from 2015-2021. He was extensively involved in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, leading the Israeli side of the Culture of Peace track of negotiations, and was also a member of Israel’s negotiation team in the Israel-Syrian negotiations.

Liberal Judaism has been highly critical of the new Israel Government, and its far right ministers and members. You can read our recent statement here and an article by Rabbi Charley Baginsky here. This event will be the chance to put these concerns directly to someone with extensive experience of, and contacts in, Israeli Government.
