This week’s Liberal Judaism Community Briefing will provide an important update on the situation in Ukraine.
Taking place this Thursday (30 June) at 8pm, our guest speakers will be Ilya Aizenshtat and Rabbi Igor Zinkov.
The call is open to all members of Liberal Judaism. For the Zoom link, please email Tom on t.rich@liberaljudaism.org.
Ilya Aizenshtat is a Jewish Ukrainian journalist, entrepreneur and activist.
He will speak to us – from his home in Ukraine – about the current war, possible future scenarios and the ways in which we can help the people of the country.
Ilya will also talk about about refugees and displaced Ukrainians – how many people have been forced to leave their homes and how many have returned.
Rabbi Igor Zinkov will outline the vital work being done by the World Union for Progressive Judaism (WUPJ) Ukraine Crisis Fund in his role as Co-Chair of the WUPJ Ukraine Crisis Committee. He will also focus on how best to support Ukrainian refugees in the UK.
