Saturday 25 June: Crouch End Open House Shabbat

22 June 2022 – 23 Sivan 5782

Crouch End simcha

The next LJ@120 Open House Shabbat will be this Saturday (25 June) at Crouch End Chavurah.

It will be a double simcha – as the community celebrate the batmitzvah of Lyla Cohen AND 120 years of Liberal Judaism.

The service starts at 11am and you can attend in person or via Zoom. To receive the Zook link, please email naomi@crouchendchavurah.org.

The Open House Shabbat initiative will see each Liberal Judaism congregation hold at least one Shabbat during the year, to celebrate our movement’s 120th anniversary, for which they will open their doors – whether in-person, online or both – to the rest of the Liberal Jewish world and beyond.

More about Crouch End Chavurah:

The Crouch End Chavurah began in 2008 when a small group of like-minded Jewish families living in Crouch End started meeting up to run small services together in each other’s homes.

Since then we have grown gradually to a fully-fledged community of around 100 families, whilst maintaining our intimate and organic feel.

The Chavurah is committed to a modern Judaism that cherishes Jewish tradition and practice with a contemporary interpretation. We believe in Tikkun Olam, ethical living, social justice and gender equality in all aspects of community and everyday life. We are committed to building close ties with the wider local community.
