Liberal Judaism and Finchley Progressive Synagogue (FPS) invite you to a special event to mark Yom HaZikaron and Yom Ha’Atzmaut.

We have been able to arrange this at short notice thanks to a last minute opportunity for us to be joined by former Israeli Ambassador to the UK Daniel Taub.

Taking place TONIGHT (Thursday 5 May), guests can attend in person at FPS or online via Zoom.

The evening will start at 7.30pm with poetry and readings by Cabaret star and Olivier Award nominee Elliot Levey, and a performance from celebrated musicians Abigail and David Dolan.

That will be followed, at 8pm, by a very special Liberal Judaism: In Conversation. Daniel Taub will speak to Liberal Judaism CEO Rabbi Charley Baginsky and Rabbi Rebecca Birk, Co-Chair of the Conference of Liberal Rabbis and Cantors. He will also answer questions from those in attendance.

The event will give Liberal Jews an opportunity to reflect and feel proud of Israel as we move from Yom HaZikaron to Yom Ha’Atzmaut, in line with our movement’s nuanced but positive reflection of the land, its artists and its struggles.
