We are pleased to announce that the seventh cohort of Liberal Judaism’s Ba’alei Tefillah lay service leadership course is now open for applications.
The 15 month-long course is led by inspiring rabbis and lay leaders and covers everything you’ll need to know in order to take services in your community.
Ba’alei Tefillah includes modules on Shabbat and festival services, writing sermons and Divrei Torah, liturgy, reading Torah and music.
People from all over the UK and Europe, from Liberal communities big and small, take part – leading to opportunities to make new friendships and learn from the best practice of others.
To apply, please complete this application by Monday 1 July.
You will also need your rabbi to complete the rabbinic reference form by the same date.
Finally you will also need to complete this Hebrew self-assessment form with your rabbi and bring this with you to the programme launch day.
The programme dates are as follows:
18 September 2022 – Programme Launch Day
6 November 2022 – Group Day 1
8 January 2023 – Group Day 2
