Liberal Judaism is proud to launch a brand new Education Hub series to commemorate our movement’s 120th anniversary.
This cross-communal adult learning programme is in four parts. It will focus not just on the history of Liberal Judaism, but also on the present and future – as we explore Liberal Jewish practice, values and beliefs.
The first part runs in January and February over six sessions – beginning tomorrow (Wednesday 11 January) with a look back at the life and achievements of renowned Liberal Jewish leader Rabbi John D Rayner by Rabbi Dr Charles Middleburgh (pictured).
The Education Hub presents a unique opportunity to study with many of Progressive Judaism’s most senior rabbis and lay leaders, including Liberal Judaism President Rabbi Dr Andrew Goldstein.
Each session will be held on a Wednesday at 7:30pm via Zoom. Those registered to participate will also receive access to recordings of the sessions. Click here to register.
All sessions are designed to stand alone, so you can attend as many (or as few) evenings as you’d like. The first part consists of the following six sessions:
Wednesday 12 January: Rabbi Dr Charles Middleburgh on Rabbi John D Rayner: A loving retrospective
Wednesday 19 January: Rabbi Pete Tobias on Rosita Rosenberg
Wednesday 26 January: Rabbi Michael Shire on Rabbi Leo Baeck: A Liberal Jew before his time
Wednesday 2 February: Rabbi Jackie Tabick on Lily Montagu and her Club
Wednesday 9 February: Rabbi Dr Andrew Goldstein on Amy K Blank
Wednesday 16 Feb: Rabbi Aaron Goldstein in conversation with Ruth Shire
