This weekend sees Mitzvah Day – the UK’s biggest faith-based day of social action – taking place.
Liberal Judaism congregations up and down the country will be involved – cooking, collecting, gardening, tidying, knitting, baking, card-making and so much more to help those who are vulnerable and build stronger local communities.
Many will be working with local Muslims, Christians and other neighbours of all faiths and none, coming together to do good deeds. In fact, the theme for 2021 is ‘This Mitzvah Day, Together’ as the day will give the chance for the UK’s different faith groups to reunite after almost two years of restrictions and lockdowns.
If you’re taking part in Mitzvah Day, please make sure to register so that you get the full support of the Mitzvah Day team, as well as your merchandise for the day. You can register here.
Then, on Sunday night/Monday morning, please email us your photos so we can send them to press and publish in LJ Today. Please send your best photo and a short description of what you did to Simon on s.rothstein@liberaljudaism.org.
