South Bucks Jewish Community (SBJC) came back together on Rosh Hashanah for tea and Tashlich.
The community visited the College Lake Nature Reserve, with the ceremony covered by BBC Three Counties Radio. You can listen to the broadcast by clicking here.
Rabbi Neil Janes told the BBC: “This was a chance to reflect on the year, cast off the things that we didn’t want and think about what we want to take into the year ahead.
“Being in this nature reserve also gave us the chance to reflect upon the environment and climate. This is a shmita (sabbatical) year in the Jewish calendar – where we let the land lie fallow – so there’s no better time to examine our relationship with the earth.”
The show also featured interviews with members of SBJC and some clips from the community’s Rosh Hashanah service.
