Liberal Judaism’s Rabbi Lea Mühlstein was one of seven ushpizot (honoured guests) at Women of the Wall’s special Sukkot event last night.
Taking place via Zoom, the event celebrated the female figures who have inspired us.
Each guest was asked to pick a Jewish value that was important to them, and the person who inspired that value. Lea chose the value of courage and honoured the memory of her late teacher Rabbi Sheila Shulman.

Women of the Wall is the Israeli organisation that fights for women’s right to pray aloud, with Torah scrolls and tefillin, at the Kotel.
