3 February 2020
Liberal Judaism has teamed up with the Jewish Leadership Council (JLC) during LGBT History Month to showcase all those who are advancing LGBTQI+ equality in our communities.
The JLC are looking to profile and celebrate people who have done their bit to make our congregations more welcoming and diverse.
So if you have a rabbi, lay leader or volunteer willing to be celebrated, please ask them to send a high-resolution picture and short answers to the following questions to david@thejlc.org:
- Name
- Organisation
- What does being part of Liberal Judaism mean to you?
- What does being part of the LGBTQI+ community/an ally working towards a more inclusive Jewish community mean to you and your congregation/synagogue?
- Is there anything your congregation/synagogue has recently done for the LGBTQI+ community that you would like to showcase?
- Who is your LGBTQI+ role model and what have you learnt from them?
The JLC also wish to help promote those communities putting on special events and services throughout February for LGBT History month.
If you wish to share your event or project – please send a short description along with details for participation to david@thejlc.org.
