Do you want to learn how to teach your cheder/religion school students about the Holocaust in a sensitive way? Or maybe you wish to know more about using games as a teaching tool or introducing mindfulness into the classroom?
Then make sure to register for the next Liberal Judaism and Reform Judaism teacher training day, where these and many other topics will be discussed.
The teacher training takes place from 10:30am – 3:30pm on Sunday 5 January 2020 at The Liberal Jewish Synagogue in St John’s Wood.
The educators at the event will be Cantor Sarah Grabiner, Yoni Berrous from Yad Vashem and other experts and practitioners from across the Jewish community.
Sessions on offer will also include using music in the classroom and assembly, crafting and mental health, basic teaching skills, classroom management and behaviour, safeguarding training, Hebrew and handling social media.
There will also be a shuk of resources from Jewish organisations, including Yad Vashem and the Jewish Book Service.
The event is free to attend for Liberal Judaism and Reform Judaism members, however we do ask for a voluntary donation of £10 to help cover the cost of running the day.
Non-members are very welcome to attend for a contribution of £30 (as these places are not subsidised by the movements).
Registrations close on Friday 20 December. To sign up please click here.
