Tu Bishvat Shabbaton at The Liberal Jewish Synagogue

The Liberal Jewish Synagogue (LJS) in St Johns Wood will hold a special Shabbaton on Saturday 19 January to celebrate Tu Bishvat.

The event runs from 10am until 5.30pm and will include a wide range of study sessions, a service and a vegan chavurah (bring and share) lunch.

Rabbi Frank Dabba Smith will give the day’s keynote lecture, with the title ‘Environmental stewardship and peace building, cross borders and faiths: working with Eco Peace Middle East’.

Other sessions will be led Rabbi Michael Hilton, Bernie Bulkin, Rabbi Elana Dellal, Karen Maxwell, Simon Lovick, Effie Romain, Kathryn Michael, Jenny Nathan, Susannah Alexander and Graham Carpenter.

There will also be child friendly sessions and activities to ensure that the whole family can attend.

The event is free for LJS members and children, and £25 for adults who are non-members. Everyone should bring a vegan dish to share over lunch. Booking is essential. To book you place via Eventbrite, please click here.
