Rabbi Regina Jonas will be the subject in the first of a new series of Shabbat talks at West Central Liberal Synagogue (WCLS).

Liberal Judaism’s senior rabbi, Rabbi Danny Rich, will lead the lunch time session and tell the story of the Berlin-born Jewish scholar who became world’s first ordained female rabbi in 1935. A light lunch will be provided.

The talk will take place on Saturday 16 February from 1-3pm. WCLS is based downstairs in the Montague Centre, 21 Maple Street, London, W1T 4BE.

Tickets are £5 and must be booked in advance so that the synagogue can cater appropriately. To book your place, please click here.

WCLS’ Rabbi Jackie Tabick said: “This is the first in a new venture at the synagogue, where we are going to run a lunch time Shabbat lecture/talk every few months. These will give people a chance to hear about interesting topics from outside speakers and, of course, to have a natter and meet new people.”
