The next joint Liberal Judaism and Reform Judaism teacher training day will take place on Sunday 6 January at Alyth Synagogue in Golders Green.
The event gives teachers and assistants in Progressive cheders/religion schools the chance to invest in their own Jewish learning and teaching skills, while networking and sharing advice with fellow educators from around the country.
Tracks will include sessions on SEN skills, LGBTQI+ students, mental health awareness, Torah, Hebrew and Jewish technology.
Tickets are free, although we would appreciate a £3 donation towards the catering costs for the event. Places fill up quickly, so please book yours today by visiting https://ti.to/RJ/teachers-training-day.
Liberal Judaism’s Rabbi Sandra Kviat said: “We have a wonderful and exciting list of sessions on offer with a range of experienced and inspiring educators.
“The training day has become an annual important part of developing our teachers and madrichim (teaching assistants), as well as gaining new skills for seasoned teachers, and creating a network for all.”
Experts from across the Jewish community will run sessions at the event, including Nic Abery and Shelley Marsh. Batsheva Frankel, the author of The Jewish Educators Companion, will be joining from LA.
