A special Kabbalat Shabbat service and Friday night dinner are being held this Friday (October 19) to celebrate what would have been the 100th birthday of former Israeli President Chaim Herzog.

The event is being organised by Northwood & Pinner Liberal Synagogue, West London Synagogue and the World Zionist Organisation.

It will start with a service at 6pm at West London Synagogue, which is located in Seymour Place, London, W1H 5AU.

They will talk about the legacy of their father, who was the sixth president of the State of Israel between 1983 and 1993 and renowned as an extraordinary world leader, Zionist visionary and powerful statesman.
