Once again Liberal Judaism’s Biennial Weekend 2018 will offer a full and inspiring programme for young Liberal Jews in attendance, alongside the main programme.
Biennial participants aged between six and 15 can enjoy a taste of LJY-Netzer on the youth programme which will feature both educational and fun sessions (including a few appearances from the main programme’s speakers), creative and engaging services, and exciting games.
The Teen Track of the youth programme will help teens choose which sessions to attend and provide facilitated processing time after each session.
There is also a fully staffed crèche for those under six.
LJY-Netzer movement worker Hannah Stephenson said: “We have created an action packed timetable that will explore the Biennial Weekend’s theme of ‘Liberal Judaism: The Formula for Truly Progressive Judaism’, while having lots and lots of fun.
“We also have the honour of running Havdallah for all of the Biennial attendees, a highlight of the weekend that everyone will enjoy.”
Highlights of the youth programme, which you can read in full here, includes sessions such as ‘what is LJY-Netzer’, ‘Jews around the world’ – reflecting LJY-Netzer’s theme of the year; “Minorities within Minorities” – a variety games, including outdoor and parachute games, and a family-friendly Sunday morning service.
Liberal Judaism’s Biennial Weekend takes place from Friday 29 June to Sunday 1 July at the St Johns Hotel in Solihull, just outside Birmingham. For booking details, and to reserve your place on Liberal Judaism’s flagship event, please click here.
