Liberal Judaism members and friends are invited to join us for the launch of the Rainbow Pilgrims Pop-Up Exhibition this Thursday evening in Lambeth.
Taking place from 6-9pm in the Migration Museum at The Workshop, 26 Lambeth High Street, London, SE1 7AG, this FREE exhibition explores the hidden history of LGBTQI+ migrants in Britain.
It documents the interconnection between faith, sexuality, gender and ethnicity by using oral history, film and photography (including the photo above).
As well as exploring the exhibition, attendees will also have an opportunity to catch the new version of the Empathy Museum’s acclaimed immersive exhibit A Mile In My Shoes and watch No Turning Back: Seven Migration Moments That Changed Britain.
Plus there will be the chance to grab a drink, courtesy of VIVID drinks, and meet the team behind Rainbow Pilgrims.
The event is totally free and there is no need to RSVP, just turn up and enjoy. Click here for travel details.
Rainbow Pilgrims is an archive and oral history project about LGBTQI+ migrant and travelling communities in the UK. It is proudly hosted by Liberal Judaism, and supported by the National Lottery through the Lottery Heritage Fund.
