A quiz team made of up of members of Nottingham Liberal Synagogue and Leicester Progressive Synagogue have made it through to the finals of the UK’s Harry Potter Trivia Tournament.
Charlie Barker, Max Worth, Rachel Benn and Pat Dean – known as ‘The Felix Felicis Four’ – won their region’s round of the competition, held in the village of Lowdham in Nottinghamshire.
They will now compete against 19 other first round winners, from all over Britain, in the grand final – to be held in London on Saturday 20 January.
The team, named after the magical Harry Potter potion that makes the drinker lucky for a period of time, are hotly tipped after only dropping half a mark in their heat.
The competition has been organised by Harry Potter publishers Bloomsbury Books to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the release of the first book. Heats were held in bookshops around the UK.
