Liberal Judaism and Reform Judaism will jointly host the first ever Progressively led Jewish retreat for students in the Peak District from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 February.
Reconnect: A Retreat for Jewish Students will give participants the chance to escape the mundane and come together to reconnect to the parts of themselves that may have become lost or forgotten over the course of the academic year.
The weekend will embrace Progressive Jewish learning and prayer, empowerment and leadership, as well as community and self-care.
It will include a warm and musical Kabbalat Shabbat, community organising training and the chance to simply relax, have fun and make friends.
The weekend will be led by Maya Skaarbrevik from Jeneration and by Progressive student chaplains Rabbi Leah Jordan (Liberal Judaism) and Rabbi Daniel Lichman (Reform Judaism).
The cost for the retreat is £50. This does not include travel to the site. Financial assistance is available and cost should not be a barrier to attendance.
For more information please contact Maya on maya@jeneration.org or 020 8349 5661.
Places are limited and the deadline to sign up is Wednesday 24 January. The nearest station to the retreat is Manchester Piccadilly.
