A special Shabbat service will be held at East London & Essex Liberal Synagogue (EL2) on Saturday 23 September.
The inclusive Shabbat Shelanu service is designed to be accessible and sensitive to a variety of needs. It will start at 11am and end at 12.30pm, in South Woodford.
As it falls during the Ten Days of Repentance, an especially holy and reflective time of year, the service will explore some of the themes of the High Holy Days season.
The service will be led by Rabbi Richard Jacobi and is open to everyone, both Liberal Judaism members and non-members. All ages and faiths are welcome.
RSVP is encouraged but not required. If you have questions, special requirements, or to RSVP, please contact Mich Sampson on sampson.mich@gmail.com or phone 07989 598 949.
Mich said: “We are hoping as many people as possible, from across Liberal Judaism and beyond, join us in celebrating Shabbat, and exploring the themes of the High Holy Days, through music, multi-sensory experiences and prayer.”
