Walkers from South Bucks Jewish Community (SBJC) will take part a day-long walk to raise money in the fight against cancer.

The team from SBJC will be part of the Cancer Research Relay for Life. Starting at midday on Saturday July 1, they will take it in turns to walk around a sports track at Nuffield Pavillion, until midday on Sunday July 2.

The community have been regular participants in this event, and over the last four years have raised more than £11,000 for Cancer Research UK.

The team – nicknamed the SJBC Strollers – said: “Every pound counts and all money raised will support life-saving research into preventing, controlling and curing all cancers.”

To help raise even more money, the team will also be selling raffle tickets (£1) – 1st prize a fabulous Fortnum and Mason’s hamper; and selling hand stamped personalised jewellery (pictured above) £5 per item. Contact membership@sbjc.org.uk for details.

Liberal Judaism members can sponsor the team, and find out more information, by clicking here.
