LJY-Netzer member Lauren Keiles has been elected as the new Leeds University Union faith rep.
Lauren will join the 2017/2018 activities executive after a hard fought campaign in which she promised to ‘listen, learn and lead’.
Lauren said: “I want to lead our Union developing campaigns opposing religious discrimination, so that campus and social media remain safe and open space.”
She added: “I will ensure that the Union is accommodating to the cultural and religious requirements of each faith – meeting each society to discuss their individual needs.”
Lauren is a leader within LJY-Netzer, Liberal Judaism’s youth movement.
