The Liberal Judaism Learning Network and Movement For Reform Judaism Eits Chinuch (Tree of Learning) have teamed up to put on two seminars for teachers and assistants in January.

Taking place in Leeds on Sunday January 3 from 10.30am–3.30pm, and London on Sunday January 10 from 2pm–5.30pm, the course is titled ‘Opening Jewish Minds – Nurturing Lifelong Jewish Learning’.

Liberal Judaism’s Rabbi Sandra Kviat said: “These seminars are a great opportunity to meet fellow educators from across the Progressive Jewish spectrum and to gain new ideas. We have an exciting array of speakers and workshops to choose from – giving participants the very best of our two movement.”

Rabbi Esther Hugenholtz and Jennifer Verson – How to create lasting Jewish art with children.

Philip Simon – How use storytelling and puppets (including puppet making).

Rebecca Teiger – Learning for all: positive behaviour management for children with all energy levels.

Rabbi Sandra Kviat – A hands on exploration of Jewish identity using an innovative creative approach.

Sunday January 10 at the Montagu Centre, 21 Maple St, London, W1T 4BE:

Shelley Marsh – The Jewish learning journey of a child and what we can learn from the post Bnei Mitzvah disengagement.

Sara Levan – The difficult relationship between Jewish Day schools and religion schools, and how we can find a way to mutually work together.

Philip Simon – How use storytelling and puppets (including puppet making).

Deborah Blausten – Jewish learning and technology in the 21st Century.

Rebecca Fetterman – Exploring positive behaviour management.
